Lizz Howard is an alumni of UNCW. She received a BS in Elementary Education and Special Education as well as a Master's in Business Administration. 

She has been teaching for over 10 years. Whether in the classroom or in the ocean, Miss Lizz loves getting to share her passion with the next generation! 

Her enthusiasm is contagious, as she shares her many stories and fun facts about all of her favorite sea creatures. She has been scuba diving in 7 different countries, each with it's own exciting underwater encounters. 

Fort Fisher Aquarium: Time spent underwater is always time well spent! Miss Lizz loves presenting in the Dive Show at the local NC Aquarium. 

Ocean Cure : This local non-profit is Miss. Lizz's favorite. Kevin Murphy and his crew enjoy nothing more than to share the healing  experience of being the ocean. 

SkyWatch Bird Rescue: SkyWatch is the only bird rescue in South-Eastern North Carolina. They rescue, rehab and release thousands of birds each year... yet another favorite activity of Miss Lizz's! 

Rumor has it that Miss Lizz has spent so much time in the ocean that she is turning into a mermaid. 

She's been spotted doing presentations, sharing her most favorite underwater encounters... and let's just say her "sea legs" looked more like a tail! 

Miss Lizz loves being in her mermaid tail when talking to local audiences. Best of all, when she gets excited her tail wags!
